Jetting Question

K i got a 03 blaster that was piped and jetted by the dealership. they also took off the airbox lid. 2 years later the bike is not topping out, so i checked reeds and carb for problems and found non. While in the carb I found the main jet size to be a 360. So im assuming the dealership knew what they were doing and had it set it right. But i still cant figure out why its not topping out. Help me PLZ!

try smaller main jet 360 is large i dont know ur elevation but im piped no airbox lid bored and sh*t and i only run a 310

i live in parkcity utah, elevation is about 6000', But I ride between 3000 and 7000 feet, do u think with such big changes i sould have jets for each place i ride?

no all though elevation plays a big role in jetting once u get the right jet u should be able to mess the the fuel air/screw at dif elevations but to me a 360 seems large for ur mods

ya.. i agree... i got a fair amount of mods and im right on the money with a 300 main

360 seems huge for your setup.


you should keep the 360... cuza your name and all hehe

cool, ill try a 300 or 310 today. Sould i buy a new airbox lid while im at it?
