Jetting issues and Keihinn what do you guys think?

The OKO will fit the stock Blaster manifold, but they have been known to create jetting problems.

The PWK 35 would be a better choice but possibly an overkill for your mods.

Why not try the stock carb before you shell out hard erned money, it is surprizing how well the little stocker 26mm carb handles all but the wildest mods.

Grab a handfull of jets #290 to #340 and a few b8es plugs, start big and plug chop.

I recently put a Mikuni 35mm TMXX D slide carb on my bike, the ass dyno coud not tell the difference over the stocker.

Thanks ill get a jet kit when the pipe comes. Can i jet my bike right by just adjusting the main jets?

Yup you just need to change the jets.

Forget about a jet kit, they usually come with all the wrong size jets, buy jets individually.

The stock carbs are usually a breeze to rejet.

Some pipes require a change of clip position on the needle as well.

When you get the pipe, post up all the mods you have and someone will give you a ballpark figure on where to start.

Ok its just ill be taking the pipe of sometimes to race ( im not aloud it) so just want to be able to change it with ease.

Each time you change pipes you will have to change the jetting, just makea note of the jets and settings and all should be easy.

The idle settings may change between pipes also.

What grade of racing demands a stock pipe.

Do you have to use a stock muffler?

A stock pipe can be made run somewhat better by opening it up and removing the baffle crap they stuff inside it, and then welding it back together.

If the racing you do is without mud or water, a foam filter directly on the carby throat will wake the motor up a bit, but you need to jet accordingly.
