You're on the right track; don't worry. Especially since you're running no airbox lid.

Remember, you're very close to sea level, and therefore will have to jet rich by default. Toomey Racing sends a 310 main with their pipe kits right from the factory.

So, bump your main to at least a 310, and re-check the plug. You may need a 320 by the time you're done jetting correctly.

ok yea im going to be puttin in a 330 and going down from there and plug chopping, i was just making sure because everyone else runs around 280 with the same mods as me and i thought my high main jet was odd...

This is true, but remember, many of the other members on here live at higher elevations than (almost) sea level, which means that they don't need as large of a main jet due to the thinner air at higher altitudes. Plus, unless other people chop their plugs for comfirmation, they may be running lean without realizing it.

Plus, even though FMF recommends a 260 main jet with their pipe, this is assuming that the airbox lid is still installed on the machine.

Jet based on what you see and read from a plug, not based solely on what others recommend.
