Now that I have my quad running again I wanna make sure its running the best it can...I have an 01 blaster with a 240 big bore kit with a full dg exhaust on it I want to know what the best jet set is to run on

depends on your carberator, if its stock , you will probably need a 34 mm . its very hard to get the rite gas air mix with a smaller carb. the stock carb wont meter enough air to pull enough gas through it. been there tried that. there is no set . every bike is different, but start big and go down. to lean and you will be doing it all over again

34mm PJ's can be had really cheap. under 50 bucks if you buy it right. and x100000000000 on the exhaust.....thats basically a chrome stocker.

do a plug chop and read the plug, that's the only way you'll know what jets you should be running.

I would look around for a PWK 33 or 35, personally. I know a lot of guys are running PJ 34s, but frankly I've found the choke/idle speed combo to be a pain in the ass. The PJ is old skool, but cheaper.

You would need a different intake manifold for anything in the 33-35 range.

lol i must have the nicest 34mm pj around, i keep hearing guys having problems with the idle.. my idle/choke works perfectly and responds while i rotate it, and the maching purrs like a pissed off kitten I:I. dont get me wrong, if youve got the extra money a PWK is a nice carb.

Is there anything else supporting mods wise other than a new boot

you need the correct cable.. and the thumb throttle of a 250r or moose makes some nice a/m ones. you can modify your stock throttle to open the 34mm, if you want to go this route pm me and i will get ya some pics..
