Ok. the mods i have right now are on my blaster. Im running a 240 main jet with the stock carb, uni fliter,.40 bore, reed spacer, stock lid. Now i want to run al thoes except the lid will be removed and replaced with an outerwear. What size main should i run. And where is the pilot jet? ........ And is this the stock fuel or whatever screw placement?

that main is probobly too small if you have a pipe and lid off. pilot jet is in a hole next to the main jet. need a small flathead to get it out

1 1/2 turns out from in (bottomed out) for the air screw,
just removing your lid should only need 1 or 2 sizes up on the main,
and only heavily, heavily modded bikes will ever need to bump up the pilot jet on a stock carb
a stock motor and stock carb can only flow so much at idle, and the 32.5 thats in there is the pilot needed
don't fool with it

i've seen 250 mains listed for just a filter and no airbox lid with a stock pipe,
but....a plug chop is the only way to tell, search and learn them

Great answers guys, you beat me to it while I was working on it!
Made my job a little easier, oh well here's my crappy artwork anyway....:D

ok, SO the air screw is not in its stock position? its 1 and a half turns out?

1 1/2 turns out is the "stock" position, if you're refering to "in tight" as the "stock" position thats wrong.... 1 1/2 complete turns out
