Bought a 98 Blaster for 200 bucks with a really bad bottom end knock. I had to replace the crankshaft because it had alot of up and down play. Put it back together and sounds great, BUT! I have only reverse in all gears....someone help!

Never heard of that. Sounds like something was put together backwards???

nah its either his timing is exactly backwards or his woodruff key is sheared causing the same 180 off timing. this pops up at least once a month lol I:I but noone will ever post vids of bangin gears in reverse haha

thats kinda funny

Where Is the flywheel at. Inside the trans or on the side where the kick start is at. How do I check the timing?

the flywheel is under the plastic cover on the chain side of the engine.

You will need a flywheel puller, and a new key to complete this job.

It is also best to try and get a flywheel holder and a torque wrench to torque the flywheel back up to the correct value of 73 Nm or 53 ft-lb

So your saying you took the flywheel off, and the key ( thick metal half moon bit ) is not cut , and the flywheel was installed right with the key locking the flywheel to the crankshaft. when together, the flywheel should not have to be tightened in order to turn with the crankshaft.

If all that is ok, then, you have mounted the stator plate the wrong way around.

This is the plate under the the flywheel that the coils sit on. it has two philips head screws and has a tab that sticks out that is normally aligned with the cutout in the crank case that the wires go through on the upper left. this tab is to support the wires and so should be with the bundle of wires from the coils and it should be towards the left when mounted the right way. let me know how its looking!
