Okay, had the chance to rip the top end off and i have tottally found out what happened..... I'm getting pics of it up here right now. will have them in the next post...but, I wanna know what it takes to make my stock cylinder a big bore. and have the carb adjusted right....With my Toomey full exhaust, I dont exactly know what to get.... I know I will need a LA Sleeve 240 Big Bore, but carb size, i wouldnt have a clue with my open airbox with a stock type UNI Filter....I wanna know what I need to get if I wanna make my blaster a big bore for the dunes....(arizona&california)

get the la sleeve bbk kit, a 34/45mm intake and a kiehin 35mm airstryker < i think holeshotman on here just had one for sale, cheap

Its like $500!!! I would almost rather wait til im on my last bore. I'm gonna be .060 now!! What I will do is rebuild the whole motor and install a +3 crank, LA Sleeve BBK, and then when i get enough moolah, I'll send it to Ken....

you're confusing me.............
did that suprise you about the cost of the bbk ???, the way you talked we thought you knew that, add the accesories needed to properly run a bbk, from a stock motor, pipe/carb/intake, ect and it'll be over a grand easy,
but yeah, if you've got bores on that cylinder left, run them out, that could take years if properly maintained

and wheres these pics we were promised ???????????
or at least an explanation

Well you want to make a BBK duner, you're gonna have to pay for it...

If money is an issue, get your cylinder bored and piston replaced and run it ragged. Once you've got enough money stacked up, then drop it on the BBK. Just remember the BBK isn't the only thing you'll need for a dune ripping blaster.

Sorry awk, My SD card wasnt working right last night, let me see if I can figure it out. I promise to have them up sometime today. Ya, little suprised on the price of that, maybe I can look for a LA Sleeve BBK on egay or something...

Wiseco has the best track record in blasters. No other seems to hold to up as well and once the other problems are fixed you shouldn't have any more piston troubles.

why are you surprised about the LA sleeve bbk? its only a few bucks more than a vito's....but WAY better. and that one comes with reeds for the 250r style intake, and a carb boot for a 36mm carb. plus a forged piston instead of a cast. good parts cost good money lol.

so what exactly happened to it this time? and if it was blowing white smoke, its crank seal time, and DO NOT GET THE CHEAP ONES. spend the cash on oem ones. 15 bucks beats another top end rebuild

Here's these pictures i promised ya'll.

just a little friendly advice. always wash your motor before opening any part of it. you don't want any of that junk ridin around in your crank chamber. and second i would suggest against the vertex piston. not trashin you just tellin you from expirience. when i first got my blasty it had a vertex in it and i melted that sob pretty bad. cast pistons are not nearly as strong as forged.

That looks an awful lot like a 4 point seizure....

So what was actually wrong with it?

Vertex is better than none but not as good as a wiseco. Where the wiseco smeared aluminum down the cylinder and stopped running, a cast piston will usually start disintegrating.
