isnt this a water cooled blaster head without the radiator September QOTM Entries: - AirCooledRacers its a nice bike but i thought this had a radiator that is suppose to go with it like this 1 Yamaha Blaster High Performance Liquid Cooling Kit sure this 1 has a gecko of a radiator but most people switch to a yz85 o kx85 or yfz radiator anyway i dont understand how the first 1 has that head but a radiator unless its hiding someone tell me haow this works

If you read in the description of the quad...

"Other: PB air scoops, custom rad mounted under the hood"

I would assume he's bought the head off the other site but dispensed with the normal "in the front bumper" mounting.

The "hood scoop" looks like a little small but if he's racing it'll provide some fresh air. As long as it provides enough air, it should work.

So only the top of the head is cooled? not the cylinder? Hmmm. And you still have to rely on air to cool the cylinder? Maybe i'm not gettin it.

Yeah cooling isn't trully affected because it only can cool the top of the head and not the cylinder. If you want a liqiud cooled Blaster put a DT200 top end on it.

Probably a total waste of money, although I'd still like to hear someone who has one comment on it.

It would be pretty cool to be able to go from race gas to pump gas just by swapping out the interchangable dome but the liquid cooling for the head only is pretty well a waste.

also remember the cool head is made from aluminum , wich dissapates heat very well , and since the hottest portion of the motor will be the head and the exhaust port , the engine will benefit from it . We have no one on this site running this set-up , I always wanted to , but never got around to it . You'd be able to run the timing advanced and reduce the risk of detonation .
