Is this wrong???

Yeah I did.
I put a used set of Ford 351 rods and pistons in the dishwasher.
Did the full cycle with the drying too. I figured they would dry faster then the rods could rust- wrong.
Rods rusted all to hell and the pistons coroded like they were sitting outside for 10 years.
Epic fail.....

holy sh*t dude that bad damn... thats what i thought with my blaster when it sucked in water an mud from my snorkel fell off buy the time i got home an hr later the piston was rusted the the cylinder wall... epic fail there to man it sucked... now i gotta wait an get a new piston an rebore cause the rings slipped an took out a couple good gashes on the wall.

My wife is pretty understanding. She says that working on my quad is my "therapy" and she is right. While I don't keep the actual quad inside, I do bring everything I'm working on inside for now. Tonight? My bumper..... Sanding off the rust and powder coat by hand. Makes a mess but that's why they make water, towels and trashbags!!!
Once I get a new heater I will be back to working outside.
It's either I work on my quad inside with her or she moves to the garage and the lives!
P.S. I haven't told her that yet but I will........ maybe? LMAO
