bought this from ebay. keep in mind this is the first i've looked at one in person but doesnt this look like a sh*tty job ? supposed to be 0.020 over but i think i bought garbage
yeah, you probably got it cheap,i see a gouge or 2, i wouldn't run it on my bike personally. send it to wildcard flotek or kennedy, they will do you up right, got my 240 done for 60 shipping to him(wildcard) will be diff
yeah not the prettiest....but to be honest take a wire brush or a scotch brite pad to the combustion chamber and clean it up a little, and as long as the head gasket surface is flat(thats what is milled to make more compression and the reason you bought it) then it will run fine...looks arent everything and those few nicks in the dome arent gonna affect your squish velocity/angle or clearance enough to affect performance. Im assuming this head is just milled for more compression, bigger performance gains come from combustion chamber re-design which involves shape and angles...being a little nicked and not pretty isnt gonna really hurt anything
na they definatly did something too it lol but i dont think ill ever bolt it up. looks like someone got some new tools and this was their first experiment. i got a spare on the way guess ill just get it done right when im ready for it
i was thinkin the same thing flotek. i see no milling marks on the gasket surface and the distance from the squish band to the gasket surface looks like stock...
there are some marks on the gasket surface but they look very uneven might not be able to see them from camera flash glare. then in the middle it looks like someone took a drill to it with one of those grinding stone wheels and its all uneven.

It's had a wire wheel against it to try and get the carbon out.
Also looks stock to me.
I could machine that and make the gasket surface look like a mirror!
