Yeah Im wondering the same thing. Ive been doing some really really long burn outs lately. Im talking WOT for about 2mins and rollin tons of white smoke. Hasn't blown up yet knock on wood...

Id be watching that these cdi's have no rev limiter and you can overspin these and do damage.

But a blast of WOT shouldnt hurt providing its jetted correctly.

burnouts are almost more hard on the transmission and clutch but if overheated can effect motor. A good end of the summer burnout didnt hurt anyone tho did it??

For me its...... burn outs erry day. How would you kno if ur over heating? Install a temp probe?

lol you sound worse then me in my Civic si. Vtec and tire squackin all day every day I:II:I
sometimes you can hear the machine overheating if you liston in, or feel the heat comeing form both sides of the bike. a temp gauge would be slick

Long WOT runs will tend to produce a fair amount of smoke, as the motor is getting a stack of lubrication as well as cooling fuel.

That oil has to go somewhere, so it gets pushed to the cylinder and gets burnt.

You have to be consious that WOT without cooling air flowing over the fins, will overheat the motor.
