i'd say that's where your air leak was coming from! i'd replace it

Check your flywheel key while you're at it.

The timing being off can make the pressure from the cylinder go down the transfers and blow that seal out. Already taken one apart which was like that. The right side seal was blown out and the flywheel was stripped.

definately replace the seal, i just had a leak in the same place. you prob know what your doing but i found that a fish hook is an easy way to pull old seals

good idea this one just popped right out...im taking the flywheel off tommorrow and taking that seal off ill try the fish hook trick
