my friend said that he was out mobbin his 01 blaster and sropped into our yamaha dealer and was looking at a raptor 125 and they guy told him that the frame was exactly the same to a blaster frame. is this true???
yeah, that 125 frame posted above looks way different in the top steering stem area, prolly same as rappy250, looks the same dressed, but get her naked and it tells a different story
I bought my daughter a Raptor 125 for her 9th bday. Most definitely NOT the same as a blaster. It is nearly identical to a rappy 250 just a bit shorter. The arms, swinger and stuff like that will fit a rappy 125 from a 250. Makes building one easy because of all the 250's getting parted out after being built to race. I will tell you that the frame is FOR SURE weaker than a blaster frame, geometry is better but they break very easily. If you have a rappy 250 or 125 and intend to do ANY jumping you will need a welder and gussets....trust me. My good friend has a 250 his son is about 75lbs and broke the frame in many places from jumping and it has the best shocks and arms money can buy.
i was at a dealer the other day and the raptor 125 does not look like the same frame to me.....
i have a question though why in the hell do they keep making seats on quads more narrow every year it seems like sat on a yfz450 and felt like i was wearing a thong.
same with a raptor 700, and a 250 dont like it at all.
seats are narrower for racing. Much more maneuvarable with the skinny seat when you are cornering at high speed, it is easier to throw the leg over and get down low than a wide seat.
