installing a aftermarket clutch basket

there are rivets that hold the gears on the the cluchbasket they need to be drilled and your new clutchbasket should come with screws. be sure and use loctite on these screws. what kind of freeplay?

damn man SLOW DOWN!!! lol that thing is gonna be a pimp ride come spring!! I:I I:I

Like if you hold the basket in one hand and the gear in the other and twist it there's like 5 mm of play and which side do I drill out the gear side or basket side

i dont think it matters which side you drill, the rivets will be replaced by the bolts anyway ???? i'd drill the basket side, since it's being replaced anyway, but you'll still have to tap out the rivets from the gear

there are 3 rivits holding the gear and basket together, this is what you need to either drill out or cut the back off. if your drilling you can take a center punch and put a mark in the very center this will help keep the drill bit there when u start drilling. i dont know about the rubber causing play but hopefully u can tell us when u get it appart...

i will im going to use a extra stock basket i bought for now till i get my new plates but ill be swap the gears this weekend and make a tut with pics anybody want to help me with the pressure plate go to the chat box please

i don't know of anywhere you can get replacements, but when i did mine i just turned my rubbers to tighten it up.

when i did mine, i ground the rivets on the gear side, then i pounded them out with a punch and BFH.

loctite on the new screws is required
