So my LRD pipe keeps leaking at the flange. I've had about enough. I'm thinking of getting rid of it. If I was to, would anyone be interested in it? Non adjustable with silencer. Little dings and minor surface rust.

Do you have any pictures of your LRD?
Here it is. The dings are where the kicker rest.

Why is it leaking? Is the flange bent where it connects to the cylinder? Did you install a new gasket? Did you use ultra copper where the pipe meets the flange? Are all of the pipe hangars installed and in good shape?

All is in good shape. Copper rtv was used. When I put it on the mating surfaces were cleaned thoroughly. New gasket installed. It's not leaking where the flange sits on the cylinder, but where the expansion chamber sits in the flange. In my opinion not the best design. I would think it would seal better if the pipe went over the flange not inside.

I had the same problem with my fmf. Took about 5 tries to finally get it. Just ended up putting a huge bead of rtv. Just saying a different pipe may not be much easier

Hmmm that's something to think about. It's just a pain in the a** taking that pipe on and off. I'm just worried about putting too much and some of it frees up inside and gets sucked into the exhaust port.

Yeah I was too. I literally put like a half inch bead on the flange and then slid the pipe on it so the excess would be pushed out of the seam and then tried to squish it back in with my finger. In your case if the pipe goes inside the flange, put the rtv on the pipe. Should be easier for you actually, but its a pain either way trying to do it by yourself

not sure what kind the fmf o rings are but I just bought a pack of #223 silicone high temp o rings off of eBay. They seem to be holding up well so far
