Does anybody know of any ignition amplifiers or aftermarket ignition systems for the Blaster?.....I don't mean one that is super advanced or anything......just one that supplies a little more juice.

i think awk was selling one awhile ago dont know if he still has it he said he didnt notice a differnce with it mabey someone else will post with more input on the subject

Nology.
You can get the hot coil or just the hot wire.
I run both...

I:I Hotter wire might do the trick enough. I've just been contemplating it since I'm running 180ish psi and planning on advancing the timing which will increase the running compression as well and figured the addition of some added juice would help combat the compression on the plug.

The hot wires come in a variety of different sizes but if you want the coil you want #pfc-03s. Also the coil will need some custom mounting it doesn't fit in the stock bracket.

As far as the hotwire itself, where can you purchase JUST the hotwire, and which hotwire "model" do you get for the Blaster? Does it fit up with NGK plugs and/or are there any mods you need aside from simply putting the hotwire on?

RJATV carries the Nology line. If you don't see it on his site call him.
He has the best price on it as well.
It's been some years since I bought mine but I believe they are sold by length and color. It's a plug and play deal and will work with a stock plug.
Not really a mod but you have to run the ground strap thats included to your motor somewhere. I ran mine to a head stud. To be honest don't expect a big difference but it will help your bike start easier, burn more efficient and foul less.

Here's some vids I made a while back.

Yea I saw those vids. Look impressive although you got the coil as well. I just want it as a safeguard for the compression and timing advances and it would help to have a better idle, and easier starting. Might even help out a bit on low end combustion with the timing advancement as well. I:I I emailed Nology, but if I don't hear back from them, I'll get a hole of RJATV since I didn't see it on their site. The site is kind of hard to navigate.

Out of curiosity how would the hotwire hookup to the stock Blaster coil? I didn't look very hard, but it looks like the old wire is basically implanted into the coil. How do you swap the two?

from what ive heard, the aftermarket cdis and stuff on 2 strokes help it burn cleaner and hotter spark but do nothing for power. on 4 strokes, it gives alot more power. at least enough to feel a difference

The result is the same for both. The spark isn't necessarily "hotter" more so than the capacitor in the hotwire discharges a larger flame kernal which fends off misfires, more consistent ignition timing and more complete combustion of the fuel. Power typically isn't all that noticeable with a wire alone, but can possibly help idling and throttle response.

Now a digital controlled CDI that can play with timing advancements and stuff will show a HUGE gain in power as it can be dialed in and adjusted to the engine's preferences, but I'm just going with the hotwire itself with the stock coil.

I haven't tested this on a Blaster coil but for my Baja you just grap the stock wire and twist counter clockwise and it screws off.
This is similar to the way to change the plug cap.
