Idle

Just got my blaster running tonight, I have a question about the idle adjustment. Is the idle adjustment the brass screw on the throttle cable at the top of the slide?

there is no idle screw on that carb
someone switched the cable/top cover and did not drill
tap an idle screw

Although it is possible to adjust the idle setting with the cable slack adjuster, it is not recommended because when the handlebars are turned all speed settings will be increased.
