Hi, I recently picked up a couple of blasters (1996 & 2005). The '05 seemed to be idling a little low, but otherwise running well, so I had a look for the idle screw where it is in the manual (and on the '96) and realized it wasn't there. I did a bit of reading here on the forum and realized it had been modified with a new cap and idle screw kit.
The hole in the carb has been drilled and tapped, but the threads are stripped right out. Does anyone know whether there is an idle screw available from another carb that is oversized which I can tap new threads for, and/or where to source it? If anyone has another suggestion or advice, please fire away.

Thanks.

Welcome .. I believe that screw is M6. Might find a M7 cap screw at your hardware store & grind a ball on the end.

Doubt anyone would agree but I'd pull the carb, acetone the threads and use a toothpick to spread in a layer of JB Weld or equivalent. Wait a couple days & tap it. Sorry I couldn't come up with a correct solution
