Idle Problems! HELP Me!

Ok. i read soo many articles about carb tuning. I have a ew questions and problems with my blaster... The bike only idles when the choke is out, I try to adjust the air screw on the top of the slide but it doesn't seem to tighten down all the way it just keeps spinning right,, if i turn it left it comes to a stop by turning left... Where am i supposed to start the fuel mixture at, side of the carb,, and my jetting is a stock moose rebuid kit off ebay. I live in ny Staten island, and its about 32 degrees here, reeds are fine and 32:1 mix

check the pilot jet for a clog or your slide is setting too high (to big of gap from bottom of the carb

I think you mean the idle screw on top of the carb, the air screw is on the left side. Somebody else on here had the same problem with that top screw and it was from stripped threads inside the TORS assembly, so you might want to check that. You might be lean with the stock jets since its only 32 degrees.

Another possibility is a clogged pilot jet, so you might want to give the carb a good cleaning and check that.

whats done to the bike? air screw at the top of the slide? the air screw is on the air filter side of the carb should be about 1 1/2 turns out, my guess is your turning the tors screw. make sure your jets are clean and adjust it by the handle bars if you need to.
