ok i just rebuild the top end on my quadrunner 250 4x4 and i can not get it to idle. i have cleaned and recleaned the carb. i went to my local dealership and they told me the basics so i went home and tryed them i checked for air leaks and found none, i pulled the plug and it came but lean so i messed with air mixture screw still nothing, so i ordered a couple of pilot jets off RMA (it has a 22.5 stock and i bought 25,27.5,and 30) i just put the 30 in with 2 turns out and still nothing. i need to add also that it will not start with electric start it will only start when u pull it but once it warms up it will start with electric start but will not idle
any help will be valued thanks!

dirty or over oiled air filter? new proper plug? bad gas? still does sound like a pilot jet problem but u say you have cleaned it. did you blow air through the carb section where the pilot jet screws in? it also may be an electrical issue being that if you can pull start it and not electric start it and after its been running u can electric start. look in your manual and take a voltmeter to it and test everything if the above does nothing.

the electric start works fine it just doesnt start it at first i have to push start it. i have blew air through the low speed circuit. i may have an over oiled oil filter though never thought of that

why isnt it starting it at first? battery isnt charging completely or old? could be that the stator isnt charging the battery very well and also not giving u a complete spark? just a thought...

i may have found the couprt. i was trying to start it and had the choke open and it flooded. when it flood i noticed that the there was a faint smoke. i saw this faint smoke shooting from the intake gasket where the intake boot meets the head! so i pulled the intake boot off to check gasket. there was maybe 30% of the oring left so im going to replace the gasket and o ring and try again (with stock pilot jet)
