Have an 02 blaster here it has a fmf gold series sst with power core two silencer idk Bout what jets it has as it was bought like this was told it was a 230cc tors system has been removed type if plug is a b9es runs great when first started after warmed up it revs high and climbs

^^^^right on! It is not a 230cc, but it may be bored .30 over. Should be a b8es or br8es plug and check that jetting!!

Numbers say b9es on spark plug but I'll do a leak down for shure and jetting I have no clue what's done I will probably just by an aftermarket carb and re jet would that be a good idea?

Good idea to use a b8es plug.

no, none of your mods require an aftermarket carb.
stick with the stock carb and learn how to jet it for your mods.
the jetting in it now for the FMF exhaust should be around 270-300 depending on elevation.
do not run it again until you confirm/correct that main jetting

where can I get a leak down tester. The only ones that I have ever seen go on the spark plug hole on a 4 stroke and test your valves. I know 2 strokes don't have valves. So what kind of leak down tester do I need. Thanks for your help again

Akw08 elevation about 1000ft above sea level location Randlett Oklahoma

that b9es you got in there is a colder range plug...put b8es in..you may be compensating your carb settings for that colder plug???

Pulled carb off looked at the jet it says 230 could this be my problem? It's not Idleing down real quick it stays reved up until you release the clutch in gear then you pull the clutch it idles fine

Yes that 230 is stock. it is running WAAAY too lean. Do not start it again until you get it sorted out.

Need more info.
do you premix oil or use the oil injection?
Is the Air filter stock or is it an after market?
Is your air box lid on?

Need to get a br8es or b8es plug.

Although the #230 main is too lean for throttle openings above 3/4 throttle, it will not affect the idle.

If adjusting the idle as follows does not cure the climbing idle, you should leak test!

Idle adjusting.

Set float level, make sure that all jets are clean and fuel flows freely from the float bowl drain when the screw is cracked open.

Start with air screw 1.5 turns out.

Set idle screw so that it has some sort of idle. With TORS it is the big screw under seat on top of unit. With no TORS is is the brass screw midway down carb body.

Warm up motor and then set idle screw for a faster idle, 2000rpm+

Adjust air screw either way to get the fastest idle.

Adjust air screw a little at a time leaving 10 secs or until the motor responds.

Re adjust idle screw for desired idle .

Yea Merc, I sure think it is an air leak problem.

I was answering the question about if the #230 main jet was causing the problem!

But sometimes just too much air through the idle circuit can cause a climbing idle, especially if the fuel level in the bowl is low.
