So, I changed my first blaster clutch a few days ago. Now I've change a lot of clutches, mainly in street-bikes so I was a bit shocked when I came across the point in which I have to adjust the clutch from inside the the clutch cover. I realized this because I had to disassemble it twice to adjust the clutch correctly.

Has anyone every considered (professionally) Cutting a hole in the clutch cover big enough to loosen the adjustment nut and the adjustment screw and putting either a rubber plug, or a a plug similar to an oil drain plug, except for the length is fairly short?

Why or why not would this work? Clearance would have to be worked out, but it seems like it could save some time in the future.

Unless you are relly riding hard and abusing the clutch, you shouldn't have to adjust it at the basket very often, other than initial set-up.

Funny thing is that I've owned my Elsinore since new, and have never taken that plug out

Little tip if you feel need to remove clutch cover often, cover gasket with grease so it won't stick and tear.
