ive posted on here a few time now about my blaster not revving and dying and you all have given me things to look for and do but so far nothing has changed, so i started digging in deeper get to do research, but i cant find the exact thing im looking for so maybe the blaster community can help. ive been looking and have been told it could be my wires, i have my tors removed the correct way so i know its not that, so im thinking it maybe my stator going out, so my question is what are the signs of a bad stator?

well when i got it it wasnt revving up and kept dying on me so every one told me bad seal/air leak, so got a brand new wiseco bottom end and seals put in got it all back together no problems no air leaks, but now the only difference is it will idle for 5 minutes then die and it still wont rev up all the way

We need more info about the problem what do you mean "idles 5 minutes then dies"? so it starts good then as soon as you put it in gear it dies?

im not trying to ride it yet cuz i still havent been able to put it through its heat cycles, but yes it will crank up really easily and ill let it sit and idle trying to put it through a heat cycle but a few minutes will go by and with out warning it dies

You shouldn't let it sit n idle, for heat cycles u want to blip the throttle n check the temp with an inferred temp gauge. Go on you tube n search for heat cycle by Oconnor racing for the proper way to do it

thanks for showing me that vid thsts really helpful I:I but knowing that now, i still want to know what are the symptoms of a bad stator? i can i even attempt to do a heat cycle the right way if my blaster wont stay running?

Usually when a stator is bad it just goes, what your describing doesn't really sound like an issue related to the stator ... I would check your reeds/reed petals and make sure there are no cracks or chips and that they are sealing properly. While the carb is off make sure that your float height is set to spec and that all the jets, holes and passages are 100% clean.

What year blaster is this on? Almost sounds like a brake light switch issue and or tors issue. I know you said the tors was disconnected correctly. Did you try reinstalling it to see if it changes?

Also test the coil, Idk about on 2 strokes but I know that with cars that a coil can work just fine when cold but when u it heats up they can start acting up n quit the when it gets cold again it works again.

anybody know where i can get a fly wheel for cheap?? anyone parting out a blaster that can sell me one for cheap??
