My blaster last summer i was drifting on my homemade flat track in a feild, needless to say i gave it to much gas and spin out did like a 1080. The damage i just finally discovered last week, a blown piston in a million peices, a crank with dents in it, and a clutch with 1 slavagable spring. Goodnews my blaster which thought was a 240 isnt, but i have a nice port and polish job and somehow when i blew the piston my cylinder didnt get destroyed acutally had no scratchs. So i got to ordering parts yesterday, weisco top end kit, weisco bottom end kit, and a wiesco clutch pack ( basket was actually good ) this all cost me about 450$, and im only paying my local buddy 250$ to split cases and do all this work, and i mean this kid is a genius. Just thought id share a huge update on my blaster

not what i was expecting. if that happened to me i'd beat it like a red headed step child. hope you get back to par though. good luck.

I found out that all 3 where shot at once. that day i ended up slapping somone in the face as hard as could, kid still not talking to me lol.

so how did all these parts fail at the same time just from spinning out??? Sounds like there is more to the problem!!

Umm clutch was already slipping a bit, and the bottom end was destoyed by the piston being in a million little metal shards. also when i spun out i ended up going backwards at like 25mph and i didnt grab the clutch quick enough

Perhaps it was the HUGE carburetor with a stock bore cylinder.

That's gotta be lean when you crack the throttle...perhaps a smaller bore carburetor would give you some more bottom end oomph.

Idk how piston got cracked coulda been from kicking it so many times after this happened. Also it doesnt lean out, the carb is setup right and intune and runs actually perfect i thought was to big when i got it but i actually like it alot goes nice with the port job, pipe , and reeds
