ok i just recently bought a 03 blaster pretty much stock and i was riding it and it started losing power slowly and i pulled the clutch in and it almost shut off immediately ,so i release the clutch and rhode another 75feet and it LOCKED i let it sit for 5 mins or so and tryed to kick it and it free ed up and there absolutely no compression feels like broken or melted rings or worse but........heres my thing i want to build a decent motor for it i like hill climbs and jumping i want something pretty stout but not to expensive ,im thinking a stroker motor of some sort ......tell me what to do

to have a nice stout budget motor for that kind of riding you want to get a head mod, and a borderline dune port job. run ya about 3bills total with piston, bore, port, head, and gaskets. a pipe and carb a can wait. but first you need to diagnose the airleak or lean situation that overheated and fried that piston or rings

If there's little to no compression its definately your piston. Sounds like more then just bad or sticking rings, id say the piston skirt shattered. Many people would just bore and hone the cylinder to the next size and fit it with a new piston and rings. When I shattered my piston I went ahead and ordered a complete top and bottom end kit by wiseco to ensure there wasn't any shratnel in my crank which would have obviously caused issues even after replacing the top end. I found a new wiseco complete top and bottom end kit for a little over $300 and got my cylinder bored and honed locally for $50. I would strongly recommend that as being your starting point to ensure you have a strong, dependable motor, then looking into port work and a head mod for extra power

^ ^ ^ Good advice, clean everything before tearin into your motor to avoid any dirt or debree from getting into the motor. I would suggest buying a clymer manual if you don't already have one. Doing the install/labor yourself will cut the price in 1/2 compared to buying parts and paying a shop to do the work ! Doing the top end ( piston, rings, gaskets etc. ) is pretty straight forward and doable even by someone with little to no experience. The bottom end ( trans, crank assembly etc. ) can be tricky, and also requires some tools like case splitter, crank puller, flywheel puller to be done right. Having a manual and this forum as guidance will make most, if not all the work you will perform on your blaster doable yourself.

thanks for the good advise and yes i will doing every ounce of work to it (besides boring it out) and im willing to spend some cash thats why i was talking doing a stroker motor,

Now is definitely the time to get porting and that head modified.
Looks like this...
