I found a small spring in my engine?!!? What is it?? Also my quad keeps shifting out of 1st and 2nd

I know it is a spring. I'm Stuck
I am not sure, I will have a look at everything in the comments and if no luck I will tell you guys so and if I find the problem I'll tell you guys so.
post more pics of clutch side components.
something is perhaps grinding or stripped bolts.
clutch basket is grooved pressure plate was over tightened.
either it is slipping clutch
inproper cable/perch/lever
or it is kicking you out of gear with make not much sense
let us know...650ml/or aboooout 3/4 of 1qt of tranny/gear oil is appropriate level
did this just happen all of a sudden or did you buy it like that??

Ok i will in a few days and also the big looking washer within all the clutch plates was bent and stuff. I forgot what exactly it was called, but it was like a big washer looking like thing within the clutch platespost more pics ofO clutch side components.

Spring could have fallen out of snapped for any reason. Gears in the clutch side would eat the spring up. I would drain oil and give ever thing a insane clean.
