Just picked up a blaster a few weeks ago guy gave me works shocks n springs not installed the look a little rusty just not sure if they are junk or good.

Post up some pics. After years of use the oil in them probably looks like poo ,and they will work a lot better with a professional rebuild. The only way I know to check them is to take the springs off and compress them through their stroke, if there isn't firm even pressure from fully extended to fully compressed and back(ie the shock compresses easily, skips or doesn't return at an even rate) they will benefit from a service.

Havnt had tome to set up a photo bucket or pic deal so i can post them on here. Springs look new but shock looks lil rusty and he took them off and put the stock ones on that are in good condition.

Finally looked at them the one is shot for sure.

Look a little closer guys, he said one is for sure blown. If they were mine I would have them rebuilt but if you don't want to do that I'm sure you could sell them as cores to someone who will.

well yeah.... clean them up/rebuild them.... if i didnt already have a set and had those laying around, i would get them back to working condition.
