i have the chance to buy a blaster at a good price the top end needs rebuilt and is off the engine. he said it has a vitos 240 kit how can i tell for lookin that it is what he is saying it is ?

ken has a video on here somewhere tha describes exactly how to tell. i think the Lh side of the intake manifold will have horizontal lines on it and a stocker will have y-1. another way is to look into the intake or exhaust ports for boost ports, wormholes, boysen ports. whatever you want to call them.

look on the shifter pedal side of the intake... if it says y-1 its a stock cylinder. if it is blank more than likely its a vitos
Those are good ways^^^^ to be sure but the quickest way to suspect it is an aftermarket cylinder is a lack of paint. Most people don't paint their 240s, they come bare.
