How to keep warm?

I'm about to go make a trip to a nearby little town to pick up a few people for a party. :D:D I'd say its about...20 miles away. It's...30 some degrees out now, windy, and raining. I'll be going about 60-70mph constantly. How can I keep from getting hypothermia?
 
Drive a car!!! hahah

Start pilin on the layers, long johns, wool socks, under armor, sweatshirt, as much as you can pile on, then something windproof. Dont forget something for your neck too, scarf/neck gator.
 
Why are you riding your quad to pick people up for this party...don't really make much sence to me...
 
you will freeze to death before you get there . I wouldn't do it , I rode for three hours the other night in 20 degree weather never getting over 30 mph and I was so numb I couldn't feel my legs or arms . and I was Bundled up .
 
30 degrees??? HA! 30 above zero is awesome! To be honest 20-25 is much better because everything is dry and frozen.

All you need is a face mask, good gloves(wind proof/waterproof) snow pants and a good jacket, lined boots and thin wool socks. You'll be good.
 
find you a nice "hefty" girl to take along on the ride, i'm sure theres lots of them "corn fed" girls out there in the boonies where you live
she can wrap herself around you for the ride

lol try a 6 hour snomobile trip with a day time high of -22, and yes, that is Fahrenheit, bd27 should know what i am talking about and more. lol

haha nope, that is just being cold lol, your core bdy temperature has to rise, frost bite is actually a burning feeling. as soon as my right middle finger is bare for 5 minutes and its below 32 i loose feeling in it and it needs to warm up for 10 minutes for me to regain feeling lol, that started after some frost bite lol
 
wow 30 degrees and your worried about hypothermia, pair of jeans, good jacket, boots, and some gloves your fine. friends and i rode in the middle of the winter, it was fine except for my freezing hands which is due to lack of gloves
How many people you picking up? that kfx450 can only hold 2 at most, you and the passenger, so if its more than one thats a lot of trips.
