I am building up my blaster from the ground up. It's been slow going for a while but I sent off my cylinder and head to ken, and I put the bottom end back together. What I am wondering is what can I do to my blaster to make it's resale value higher? I am going to resell this one day, I don't know when but it's what I do and how I make my money. Please let me know if you know any tips or tricks to make the blaster higher in value or interest. I already have"
-the whole rolling frame repainted
-new rear tires and 95% left on fronts
-Cylinder ported and head machined by ken
-widened front and rear by 2 inches
-repainted plastics
-planning to put an F7 or some pipe like that on there.

Any thoughts are appreciated!

Have it 24K dipped!! Really these things don't hold value outside our community! keep everything working on it! and in decent shape so the buyer doesn't have any leverage but his jewability! <<< new word of the day!

I agree with brando, parting out a lot of modifications can ofeten get you more than a whole quad!

Really not gonna get more than maybe $1200 for a great modified blasty in good condition!

that would make more money then selling it as a package?

hands down. that's why most part them out. you get pennies on the dollar if you sell it modded. you'll get close to the same amount for a mostly stock bike, then sell the other stuff as individual parts.

Dont cut the fenders wish i didnt do that to mine..i dont plan on selling mine but you never no whats gonna happen....take all the goodies off sell them leave a decent pipe on it an sell it just like any other blaster out there

Yeah....adding goodies usually doesn't make much of a difference for our blasters. Sell it stock for ~$1200 (if you can) and then sell your after-market stuff separately. Good luck, Dude!

Yea people suck like that when you got a lot of goodies and their like so what and shrug. When most people think boreing a motor 40 over makes it a 240 bike what do you think the average intelegance of the guy pestering you about stupid stuff being all nitpickey and sh*t. Make it clean and quick enough to put some hair on the guy's chest and you'll have him hook line and suckered just do what everyone else said, take what you want and leave everything behind to the next guy.

The only real way to raise the resale value is to have the big ticket items. 240 with porting, 34mm+ carb, aftermarket airbox, aftermarket a arms...you get the idea, but even then your still only looking at getting maybe 1/3-1/2 of what you'll have into it back.

and if you are looking for more money look into parting it out. usually guys get more money but its up to you
