How to get metal out of motor?

For you experienced motor guys how would I get metal parts out of a motor without splitting cases? My RM80 now has a locked up crank and I need to get something that fell in out. Thanks for the help guys!I:I

I might just buy a new bottom end on ebay if I can get one cheap enough.

Best idea would be to split the case IMO.

gotta split the case
anyway. If its metal
shavings or peices of
metal your trying to get
out, do it safe and split
her open.

hell, if your gonna get a new bottom end if all else fails give it a try,
pull the motor dump some kerosene in there try to get as much out as possible, then get the air hose and blow that sh*t out, see if that works.

Is it metal fragments from the burn down or something that you droped in? I've seen about 50% luck cleaning mild metal shavings out of bottom ends, but you have to be very cautious for the first while about signs of failed crank bearings. If it's something you have dropped in, good luck!

split the case make sure that you clean it out very well or you could have problems down the road.

I dropped 2 pins of a wrist pin bearing in by accident. I found 2 complete bottom ends on ebay cheap so I'm going to go for them anyway because even if I get the one I have now fixed I will have an extra complete clutch, stator, reeds, etc. Thanks for the help guys!

I still have less into it than it's worth although sometimes it seems like it is a bottomless money pit. The kid with the blaster hasn't gotten back to me. If not I still will keep it and ride it. I'm not desperate for the money or anything.
