I have a 98 blaster it is bore .20 over with a forged weisco piston and a high performance gasket kit.it says the gasket ket adds 1.2 hp alone.and I was told a blaster has 17 hp stock around.it also has the tores system unhooked and I think it has boysen power reeds that's what the guy I bought off said it put the reeds in it.i just rebuilt the engine though

So with my blaster being bore .20 over with a weisco forged piston is and the gasket kit it still has stock 17hp I'm confused

yes you have no true power adders.

read threw the engine section and become familiar with what adds to power, what parts and work when done to the motor makes more power.

there's allot of info here. you don't have to be spoon fed info. its all there at your fingertips.

stratton.

20 over is just a drop in a bucket, minute increase.

Forged piston, no increase in power.

High compression gasket, will add an umpteenth.

To obtain any significant power increase one must get the motor to breathe better, and/or handle the combustion process more efficiently.

Exhaust pipe, head re chamber and porting, that is where the power is.

Airbox lid removal, timing advance, porting, bigger carb, proper jetting, better pipe, better intake delivery system etc. Those all can add power. What you have doesnt really add power at all.

You have a decent base to start with though. If you really wanna add some power, get a pipe and a carb rejet kit or just get some bigger jets and put the pipe on and jet it, that would be a start.

No, it gives you about 2cc more. It's 8/100 of an inch

I would think going .80 over would have to give some minute gain. If stock is 66mm and .80 over is 68mm that's an increase in two mm. A big bore kit starts at 72mm so that's 4mm over 68mm. I would think it would be half the amount of increase. Confused yet?

Yeah i suppose, but i doubt it would be super noticable... And no REAL benifite of going .080 over
