just wondering how much harder a banshee is to work on than a blaster.

been wanting one but afraid it'll be to hard to work on myself because of having 2 cyl's and i'd rather not have to take it to the shop for every little thing.

considering theres about $3k worth of stuff i'd like to get for the blaster im thinking it would be more worth my while to just keep the blaster with the mods it has and save up the $3k and spend $2500 on a banshee and put the extra $500 into mods then it should be fast and i'd still have room to upgrade more as i become a better rider.

owning a banshee is like being married to Paris Hilton and living off of welfare. they are very high maintenance after you start modding the engine past pipes/jets. they get to a point where they dont like being cold at all and you have to bundle them up in a blanket all night to keep them happy.

but once they are running and warmed up they are like Jena Jameson on speed. hang on for the ride of your life and dont let go!!!

only thing i think i'd upgrade if i were to get one would be pipes, reeds/cage, air filter. that should be more than enough to scare me for years to come

keep it light and you wont have to worry about anything. the only hassle you would probably have like that is if the carbs get out of sync but thats easily dailed in once you learn the bike.

im actually thinking really hard abotu selling my blaster and upgrading to a banshee this winter. im gonna see if i can get somewhere are $1700-$2000 for mine considering its condition and modifications.

There not really harder to work on. After all they are a 2 stroke. They are going to be more expensive to work on though since they've got 2 cylinders. If you're seriously thinking about purchasing a banshee, talk to some people that own them. Find out if there are any bad years to stay away from.

Banshees are not hard to work on at all.Best thing u can do is get a 1 into 2 carb kit for it so u only half to deal with 1 carb. And banshees are fast enough stock so the only upgade you really need is pipes and silencers to make it sound betta. And as far as i know the banshee never changed so there shouldnt be any bad years.
