if u take good care, pretty long. if not, than not long. i just bought new sprockets and chain like march, and ive been on a track like 2 times, and 1 race, and no wear has happned. only the paint on the teeth had come off.

Provided you fit new sprockets with a new chain, and provide enough chain oil, and keep it well adjusted, you can expect good service from a chain.

The length of time it will last, depends what conditions the chain is subject to, and the amount of heavy accelleration you give it.

Run it in mud, or bury it in sand, the lifetime of the chain will be considerably reduced.

So the answer to the question "How long will a chain last"? is "How long is a piece of string"?:D

It really depends on the use/abuse . a new chain will stretch after the initial installation , and after that its all about how much you ride . I typically go through a chain every 2 years , I'm out riding in the dunes , doing hillshots in the sand and sand trails and that's hard on a bike in every way . Like with anything else , keep it adjusted properly , and clean it regularly with WD-40 and use a light oil to keep it lubed .

Depends on a lot. How well the chain is made, O ring or not, how many hours you put on it, how well to take care of it, how you ride, the terrain you rid in,ect.

38! U old fart! Lmao. 38 is not old at all com on.... Lol ur still rippin it up on a blaster, so.......

Theres not much up in my ripping anymore, I don't jump anymore, landings are too painfull on the joints.

And as for ripping, its more like a slow tear now, but sometimes I throw caution to the wind and give the Blaster a handfull of twister.I:I

You remember what your ribs were like, then times 10 it.

When you get older, a simple bump can take months to heal.

Late last year my lad ran into my leg and crushed it, it took 3 months to heal and it still pains today.

You know you're old when you get to ripping like the old days, then it goes through your mind " This WILL hurt and it will take a long time to heal"
