how does the front brake line connect to the brake itself

but i do need help on which side my reed spacer goes inside of the reeds near the piston or outside near the carb

well, that depends.. either way will work technically, but i'd put it between the reeds and the block.. no sense is smoothing out the airflow to get turb'd up by the reeds and have essentially no effect in the long run.
