how do you start your blaster

i usually give it one or two real slow kicks to make sure there is some gas pulled in then kick the chit out of it. fires almost every time that way. this is only when it is cold though

i hit the on switch and kick it, usually one kick and she's roaring to life, choke is only needed in cooler weather
no finding middle, no false kicks, and never turn my gas off
proper float level and jetting will do that

I do the flow kick out of habit from growing up riding high compression dirt bikes.

The petcock (gas on/off valve coming out of the gas tank with a fuel line going to the carb) will be on when the lever is vertical (on is one way and 180* is reserve). When the lever is horizontal the fuel is off. The lever is turns 270*.
As far as starting mine, I get on and kick it. If it doesn't start by the second kick, I turn on the key switch. A 2 stroke with a key is just hard to get used to.

Damnit i agree, my pink blaster was juts kick and go, and a press and release button to kill, my blue one is switch and key then kick, i always forget and start kicking hell out it thinking damnit why wont you start and feel really embarrarsed when people look at me turning the key on after like 20kicks lol

But from cold, I turn key and switch, pump the throttle a lil slow kick to make sure it outs of gear then first kick it usually fires and even though i check its out of gear i still hold the clutch, i dont know why most of what i do is out of habit it will fire if i just turned it on and kicked lol
