To get the crank case cover off you just remove the screws on the clutch cover or the flywheel cover... do you mean to split the cases?

I have checked those.

And It's the crankcase cover, the one on the right side. I've taken off the screws i just can't get the cover off. The left hand side where the kickstart is won't come out.

I appreciate the quick reply.

As long as all the bolts are out and the kick starter nut is off then you should be able to remove it.Looks like you have everything off that needs to,except I cant see the bottom bolts on the cover so I am taking your word for it.Take a small rubber mallet and tap lightly around the clutch cover. You will have to remove that foot peg also for clearance.

I personally run "type F ATF" transmission fluid in all my bikes.Bel Ray gear saver is good to.

I have two Cycle oil in it now is that bad?? And also What kind of oil do you use for the oil behind the seat?

Yes,get that 2 stroke oil out of the the lower end.Use the oil I reccomended ^^^ for the lower end.You want to use 650ml for the lower end to fill it up once drained. The oil under/behind your seat will be 2 stroke oil for oil injection.Typically used and reccomended is yamalube.

So I got the cover off(Thank You!!1) and grease all the gears, Put the crankcase back together; But now the kick start still doesn't go all the way down. And the quad won't spudder make any sound or anything. We tried running it down the hill and nothing. Any ideas?

have you made sure that the kickstart assembly went back properly, theres a spring in there that needs to slot into a slot for the kickstart to return?

also what do you mean grease the gears? everything behind that cover? they dont need greasing, when youve put the cover back and drain plug back in you need to fill with 650Ml of oil of your choice.

If you don't use atf type f, make sure it says "for wet clutches"

I used the ATF fluid. The spring pin went in the hole. But now It goes down half way not all the way. And the quad won't make any sounds or anything like it's dead. But there is no battery in this quad.

they don't have batteries. they have an "on off" switch on left handle bar, and the key in middle of the bars

It could be the kick start itself, are any of the gears on the kick start damaged only allowing it to turn so far before "stopping"
Well when i took it out the gear twist up and down and their is a metal piece that stops it once it gets in the other gears. Its like a stopping mechanism.

But shouldn't the quad at least make some sounds. It's making nothing not a peep.

Like the engine dont turn over when u kick er?

most likely the kickstart is installed improperly.

are you sure that the engine isn't locked up???? what type of fuel mix have you been using? do you still use the oil injection??

I have a bad feeling that if you were putting 2 stroke oil in the transmission, that there are larger issues on the horizon
