HOLY SH*T CHECK THIS OUT!

just looks like a homemade y pipe, but i dont think that would help performance any would it? besides, with that small of a y pipe and being a high revving 2 stroke, most the pressure probally just blows past the y pipe with very little going out the left pipe, but it does look pretty kewl!

that is the stupidiest sh*t ive ever seen. There is a reason you dont see it, EVER. The way two strokes work they use sound wave that bounce off the walls of the exhaust, and they go all the way back to the can. and you can notice too that it is some rigged up mess. You want every pipe to be the same length with a exhaust.

whoever bulit that has absolutely no idea of how a two stroke engine works ..lol...either that or really doesnt care about how it performs, one of the two...as far as looks goes, yea..twin pipes do look sweet !!!

well it's probably not gonna increase power, but it aint gonna hurt it. the sound waves have to do with the PIPE not the SILENCER. ever see a drag 2 stroke? no silencers at all.... the silencer is mostly just that. a silencer. makes the screaming monkey a little less annoying.

THANK YOU!!!! i was just ganna post this same thing lol the silencer has nothing to do with engine performance, all it does is silence the 2 stroke sound thats all.
so if i felt like tearing apart my air box and spending the extra$$$ on another silencer then i prolly would make one because it looks bad ass.(id make it alot better tho lol).
then i would have to change my name to minishee lol.

actually the silencer does have some affect on the performance of the engine but very little compared to the header/expansion camber. it that y-pipe was done better, like it wasn't painted gray and was left polished/chrome, that would be a nice set up and sound great.

""2 stroke exhaust design is quite a complex science. Yes, you can get more oomph by modifying the exhaust, but you need to very careful as in getting that power increase you will also change the power band characteristics. The exhaust design maximises the power output at the designed rpm. Changing any of the lengths will change the rpm at which the exhaust is effective

If you shorten the header pipe, then the whole power range will occur at higher rpm, and unless the porting is changed to suit, and the carburetor size increased and intake length reduced then you will have a very peaky engine that will deliver less power at all but peak rpm.

If you shorten the distance between the difuser cone and the baffle cone, then you will achieve a higher peak rpm without altering the transfer port characteristic, but you will have reduced the overall chamber volume and hence increased the average back pressure.

Shortening the tail pipe will decrease back pressure, increase noise, and actually reduce the power output. So be very carefull before modifying a 2 stroke exhaust system.""

I think it looks cool. If one day i ever dropped a snowmobile motor in a blaster or something, i would run two pipes and two silencers like that. Or you could run 1 pipe and 2 silencers. I think it will affect performance very much. Basically all the silencer does, as stated before, is muffle it. When i pulled my core out, all it was was a straight piece of tubing with holes in it. It might effect backpressure a little, but not much. I would say a sillencer would effect maybe 5% of your performance. Theoretically, the Y pipe and dual silencers will flow more air, making the engine breath easier, and therefor producing power. But until you run it with just a single silencer, and then with a Y pipe and dual silencers, we wont know what it will effect. Most likely the y pipe will add some back pressure, but it should be able to flow better. But it still looks awesome.
