Hole in side case

Well I'm new here and went riding yesterday at some local trails and didn't quite make it up a big hill and stalled the engine I was rolling back let the clutch out to slow down and bam my kickstarter flew ip and punched a quarter sized hole in the side case..has this ever happened to anyone? If so how did you go about fixing it

take the clutch cover off and get another one and put it back on

How much does a new one cost? And I think the kickstarter is what caused the problem lol the big spring broke I'm pretty sure

i have a kickstarter inner/spring assembly and a clutch cover.......$65 shipped

Well I was able to get the case fixed with a piece of sheet aluminum and lots of jb weld lol and just leaving the kickstarter out for now until I get the spring from a local dealer
