i was riding along and suddenly my blaser died it would not start again so i left it alone for about a week, this weekend when i tried to start it up and it wouldn't start , my dad tried to kickstart it and when he did it backfired like a biotch , the next thing i saw was a bunch of oil on the floor. the bike blew a hole in its cranckcase, I think the original problem was a broken reed valve but i'm not sure. Im going to open up the whole engine but i have a few questions, first can i just put the piece back with some steel putty or should i get it welded up, the next thing i want to know is if gasket kits for the whole engine are expensive ,thanx.

whatever caused that is gonna require alot more than some qwicksteel putty and a gasket set, you've got troubles with the crank, clutch or tranny, open 'er up and get back to us
