my friend picked up a blaster, he traded his 95 yz250 or it. the guy said it needs the carb messed with cause it would bogg down but it ran. and when we got home it wouldn't run at all. so i swapped out the carbs with a spare i had, and i got it to run but it will only rev out on full choke. if i put the choke all the way in it will only some what idle. but if i try and rev it there is'nt any throttle response. any ideas?. it has a fmf pipe boysin reeds and no airbox lid. i did a comp test and its at 110 psi cold. i was gonna check the flywheel key but i cant get the flywheel off cause some 1 stripped the threads on the flywheel any ideas on how to get it off??. thanks for the help guys..

nope. i pulled the reed cage and the reeds were fine no cracks or warpage. the exaust if fine.

i messed with it some more today it will only run fine on full choke. if i take it off it will spike and i have to kill it. i messed with the airscrew and still no difference. i know that means its running lean, but i dont see how if its pretty much stock other then pipe and reeds. it has the stock jets and the needle clip it on the 3rd clip from the blunt end.. i checked for a airleaks and came up with nothing..

rejet it those are enough mods to make it run like crap with out jetting.
start with a 270-300 jets should get you in the ball park.

yea ill have it give that a try, but that would be for mains i need to mess with the pilot jet. thats why i am lost. i seen ppl run alot of mods and they didnt rejet and it ran fine. maybe its cause i am pretty much at sealevel?.

well i think i found out what was causing it to run like crap. i messed with the clutch and when i put fresh gear oil in it and fired it up and let it run for a wile it started to smoke really bad mad white smoke haha..
