my stock blaster is idling high when im in neutral or when i pull the clutch in i have checked both boots on the carb both are tight the reed valve is tightned down good what else do yall suggest checking next?

intake, base and head gaskets, and the only way to do that is with a proper leakdown test, contact slickerthanyou, he makes and sales them, should be in every 2 stroke owners toolbox, do not run it till you find the airleak !!!!!!!!
or you'll soon be on here asking why there is a hole in the top of your piston

the base and head gaskets are both brand new i just rebuilt it today i just cant figure out what else could cause it it did it when i got it i have tried just about everything

did you do the proper heat cycles and break-in process, then retorque the base and head gaskets ???
and how do you know if the intake isnt leaking if you didnt leakdown test it ???

leakdown test............IT MUST BE DONE TO INSURE NO AIRLEAKS

well im going to trade tommorrow i was just trying to come up with a fix to tell the guy who is getting it and no i havent ran it through the proper heat cycle i havent rode it but about 100 yards and parked it cause i had something to do

leakdown test, heat cycles and break-in before ever riding it

and........i would either make it right, or tell the guy, before he trades you, what the problem is, he now owns a bike with an airleak, and it is gonna fry real soon, if he even fires up that engine again before fixing it
or he'll be back with your bike fried, wanting his trade back

or, let us know on here if you trade that fugged up, as it is now
so we know not to deal with you on here
