Sup ladies and gents..

Ok.. Ive just bought a yamaha for my 1st time. An old friend has an 88 that he literally beats the piss out if and it for some strange reason will NEVER die. new piston and rings once and awhile and mixes a tiny bit rich.. I'm hoping for the reliability luck he has had.

I have owned strictly honda's ( boo i know ) but my 87' 250r was a GREAT quad in its day.I had a 89 cr80 as a 12yr old..

Every brand and bike has its secrets and problems.. i just got this 06 blaster today and am looking to fix a few minor things and upgrade whatever i can.

1st would be lighting. Has anyone gone L.E.D? or whats the easiest upgrade?

2nd. when i got the bike i noticed that the rear wheelie bar on the back is broken and is barely hanging on.. the left side is snapped through and the right has been bent a few times so its a little flimsy. who makes a good replacement... im going to check dennis kirk and take a look around..but i figure this is a good place to see what most ppl run..

3) its got a dg pipe. I'm wonderous if you had say a grand+ to upgrade and wanted it to go to the engine... what would you get?

ebay for the grab bar dg isnt that great and if you have a grand i would get a lrd pipe , +3 stroker crank agressive trail p&p,head milled, vforce3 reeds 30-32mm carb plus 4 timing advance, ans with the rest upgrade the suspension cuz it needs it

for 1k i say get a lrd pipe, +3 crank, get it ported, and bore it out, maybe some vf3's

my lights work kickass,but my blasty has the old style front hood. i run br8eg for a plug.

I've always wanted to look into HID lighting for the blaster, but you'd need a battery. I know you have to do something in the Stator to recharge the battery. Figure it out and write us up a DIY!
