So I bought a 01 blaster I couldn't get it to start cleaned the carb and played with it for a little bit got it to run so I figured I would ride it around the yard make sure everything was ok got about 100 yards then it died now when I kick it it squeaks it wont start and run. it will fire then act like its gonna start but it wont I cant figure it out anyone have any ideas im getting ready to rebuild it but would like to know the problem

Do a compression test, and do a leak down test.

Sounds as if you have really low compression, enough to get it started, but blaaaaa not run.

The leak test should be done before you break the motor down to see if you have an air leak. If you do, that could point out the cause of your motor malfunction.

Welcome to the forum. im puzzled by the squeak you describe. Possibly an air squeak? Check your reed valves as well as everything DirtySquared suggested. Does it have oil in the oil tank at the back or is it premix? Either way, make sure its got 2t oil in the fuel!

I know the compression isn't good the guy I bought it from done an ebay rebuild and didn't hone the cylinder I can roll it over by hand and I just put v force reeds on it I know the reeds are good and I pre mix my oil

its never had a bottom end done so im gonna tear it down and build it up custom
