ok my blaster doesn't seem to rev that high like it hasn't warmed up, also you know the throttle has some free play sometimes when you push the throttle and it is still in that little bit of slack free play it will rev up like its on half throttle, also sometimes the throttle with suddenly become very soft and you will have to let it go and push it again to regain so its not so soft to push. i have tried to explain it the best i can but i know its not that clear. i think the throttle is getting stuck but i'm not sure as for the lack of power and revs i have not a clue please help

sounds like your TORS system is starting to go bad. there are bypass How To's on this site, just look around for them. there is also a TORS removal kit that completely removes it from your ATV for about $30.

yes its the tors or the ebrake. newer blasters have the ebrake and if it is engauged or the wires are touching it will cause this problem. do you have the ebrake electrical wires disconnected? if u just cut them off then water can get in there and cause this. happened to me before. or the tors. but i bet its the ebrake, easy fix

umm whats the ebrake? and i know that theres a how to remove the tors but i heard that is different on newer blaster. Also this seams to happen really only in the wet or mud

yes exactly!!! on the clutch handle there is a lock that will lock the rear brake, or there use to be anyways. there is alittle lever that u can push over and down when u pull in the clutch( maybe someone removed it) any ways there is a electrical plug that plugs into the backside of the clutch perch. chances are some one has cut this off and water is getting in the end of the wire and causing problems. makes it seem like there is a rev limiter. find a loose wire( it will be black and have 2 wires inside) and make sure they are not touching and tape the end off to keep water out. let us know!

ohh nope thats exactly the same as when it rolled out of the factory as i got it new and have never cut any wires off it however the brake doesn't seem to do anything now i mean before it could hold the quad on a hill and now it doesn't but I've never touched it.

yep the newer blasters don't have that brain thingy i think you have to buy a removal kit for the newer ones, also its only just over a year old so i wouldn't think it would have gone yet?

as well if i jab the throttle on and off quickly for a few seconds it seems to rev better, any other advice?

uhhhhhhh yea. the airfilter will certainly cause it not to rev no air no burn! that is something u should always keep clean. its a direct path to the heart of the engine. crank bearings, rod bearings, rings dont much like dirt!

the clogged filter could def make you run a little rich.
also, to remove the tors on the newer models, just remove the wires that need to be removed and don't worry about the brain. i have an '06 and i think i had to twist the 2 wires from the throttle assy together, but i can't remember now. just pull em, then try to start her and see if she'll rev up, if she cuts off try twisting em together and starting her again. if she revs, then use e tape or solder and heat shrink or whatever to make it water tight.

update i cleaned the filter and put in a new plug and went for a blast it was better than before but it just died, so i looked down to see fuel flowing out the carb. So i shuck the blaster a bit and petrol stopped flowing out the carb its like the floats stuck but i had cleaned it before and it was fine, but it still didn't run right. And when it revs highish and you tap the throttle where it should not do anything as it has that bit of free play in it, it will just rev up however it only does this when the revs are quite high. i pulled out the new plug and it was a light brownish color so i don't think its running rich. Any help please.
