Hello....Yeah, trying to finally start the bike and a sh*t ton of fuel flooded the engine and the exhaust pipe. I took the carb apart and found small bits of sand so I cleaned everything. Now I want to make sure I know where all the hoses hook up to since I originally got this thing in pieces with nothing hooked up. I numbered the ports and I hope someone can tell me what it is, and what hoses go to it or where the hose goes.

As far as the reed goes, it looks fine to me. I know this isn't OEM and was wondering if anyone knew the name of the manufacturer and what type it is. I'm a noob to 4 wheelers but I am quickly learning. Why don't they make diesels for these? lol. I really appreciate you guys and this forum. I've learned a lot so far by reading but there are times when the gasoline fumes force me to quit thinking. Thanks in advance!!

2 and 6 are float bowl vents and normally have small tubes hanging down in case the bowl floods

3 is a dead hole as long as the TORS is on the carb cap. It has to be drilled and tapped for the TORS elimination idle screw

4 is fuel inlet nipple

5 is where the oil injection plugs in

not sure what plugs into 7

8 is another dead hole and should be sealed at the bottom

9 is the bowl drain

7 is another dead hole.
before you do anything with that carb you should get a big ass can of carb cleaner and douche it out good on the outside, then slowly and carefully dissasemble the innards. and CLEAN everything good, dont just s[ray into the air openings and call it good. a tiny particle of sand can ruin your day bud

I already took it apart and soaked it all. I was just tired of scraping the crap on the outside last night because the fumes were giving me a headache.

I noticed when I had the main jet out it had a 340 on the end. I'm reading around and I see a lot of people talking about 140 - 160 range....Is mine too big maybe and causing the flooding?

nah man a 340 is a main jet for a stock carb, when u see peeps talking about 150 or so, they are talking about jets for a aftermarket carb

I think I will go ahead and get new reeds. I can source some carbon material here and cut them. the ones I have seem a tad worn and I rather just be done with it in case they fail. thanks for the help!

7 is to balance the airfuel between multiple carbs when used on a banshee
a tube connects the 2carbs to equalize intake pressure and choke function
your reeds are toast btw

thanks! I just was looking at the service manual at a part of the engine where I took the cover off on the right side yesterday and I completely had the oil line wrong. I didn't know the supply line went to the auto lube pump and in return it supplied the carb. I should just not worry about trying to start this and take it apart so I have an idea of WTF is going on here. you guys are a great help. oh, BTW I have the service manual and owners manual in PDF if you want a copy.

i would just block off the oil injection and premix, its much more reliable.

That's the "right" way to do it. You can simply remove the drive gear from the pump and leave it inside the cover then clip the lines under the oil pump cover and put some permatex in and slide a vacuum cap over the port on the side of the carb.

Making your own reeds! Interesting, I'd like to see a pic of them when your done. These V2's are getting expensive and hard to find, hell I might even buy a set off ya. -Bob

hey noober, with my dynoport and a uni filter with boyseen reeds i was running a 320 main. and you remember how big my jet was at busco!!!
right now im back down to a 400 main and it runs like a champ

Jesus that's insane!I have pipe,filter,vf3s,4+ timing the normal bolt ons and I run a 280.what are your mods?
