you have two switches, one in the tors unit, and one in the thumb throttle. and a module that controls them under the hood.
Paul at Vito's told me to unplug it and once i did it ran great with the largest jet in it.
what they are designed to do is keep the engine from over-revving due to a malfunction in the carburetor that causes the throttle to hang wide open.
so what was happening was the larger jets were making the module think it was hung wide open with all that added fuel flow and causing it to bog down like it was running way too rich.
whoda thunk it?
I do want to give lots of thanks to vito's for being patient, and helping me work through the problem until we got it figured out.
most companies don't add good customer service to their products, but vito's does!!! i have never had a company go as far as they did to make their product work well for their customer.
they went over and above even calling me on their own to suggest that i check something else and to work with me to get my 240 big bore kit working.
most companies don't take care of the customer after the sale.
that's clearly not the case with Vito's!!! they are awesome!!!!
The Vito's 240 big bore kit does work as a bolt and go system, but you'll definately need to unplug the over-rev module.
