Took apart the carb to install new jets, and took apart the top cap of the carb to make sure it was clean. Put the new jets in and put the carb back together then the blaster wouldnt start. The thumb trottle felt very loose and easy to push in. Traced the problem back to the top cap of the carb, when I screw the cap down its compressing the spring completely, which is making the throttle wide open without even applying the thumb throttle. Put some pics below if they help, any help on how to install the top cap without affecting my throttle? Need some help im new to all of this, thanks in advance

Well your slide needs to be lined up with the needle line move the slide around until it moves down the crab, the small long line an the slide you put in needs to line up and that is on the right side when you are siting an the bike.

If the slide still does not go down shake it well it is in the carb some times the needle does not like to line up,but make sure the slide moves down the carb freely.

there's a little thingy sticking out in the hole of your carb. that one need to be in 1 of the 2 slices in the slide.
i guess u installed the slide the wrong way around.
just turn it 180 degrees, the needle will fall in the coper hole on the bottom as does the rest of the slide.
goodluck

so should the slide be flush with the top of the carb before i retighten it? was installing it the wrong way and compressing the spring basically opening up the throttle and not allowing it to start? I think this was why cause the overflow on the carb float was spewing out alot of gas.

the slide should fall down into the carb. if it sits flush with the top, then its like having it wide open

sorry for the ignorance but the slide should go all the way down flush with the top of the carb before retightening correct? In the pic i posted the slide is sticking up about an inch does it need to go down further?

There is only one way the slide should drop into the carb. It should drop all the way down to the bottom of the carb. It should slide down relitively easy with no forcing.

thanks for the replies but i'm still wondering should the slide go all the way down to where the top of the slide is flush with the top of the carb? Refer to the pic i posted the top of the slide is sticking up does it need to go down further?
