Hi I want to bore my blaster .080 over. When I do this will I have to bring my cylinder to a shop to machine it? Also do I need a new connecting rod?

Are you trying to bore your engine for more performance or is it truly in need of boring. A good shop will bore your cylinder and match a piston to the bore. Your connecting rod will be fine if it has no up and down play. There are measurable tolerances in the manual.

Im boring for more power and the engine is getting low on compression. So I just find a shop and they will bore the cylinder to the size of the piston?

What made you decide to go .80 over? Necessity or just looking for more power? What does your bore measure now?
I dont know what my bore is right now. I suppose its stock. And im boring it for the power and i feels like the compression is getting low

the additional 8cc going from 66mm to 68mm will not add much power.
what it will do is make that cylinder junk the next time it needs rebuilt as you will now be out of bores.
only bore as much needed to restore the cylinder to fit the next size piston.
do not waste bores trying to find power, those few cc's are not where it's at.

and yes, you need a reputable shop to do it.

Ok thank you. Ill take your advice and only bore to what I need. Thanks

Bore only what is necessary and spend a little extra on port work or head mod or aftermarket pipe if you don't have one already. Those will get you the power you want
