so i have a stock 05 and i want to bore it up i know that bore really dont add power so i dont want to bore it more than it really needs to be ... im not really sure what to even tell the mechine shop guy when i call him i really need help on this one what i need to get bigger piston what size? and rings and anything else that is required

well, it all depends on the condition of the cylinder, you can take it to him with the next size up piston if the cylinder isnt too bad, and then he can machine it to the actual size of the piston and rings because the pistons arent always completely perfect to there size on the box.

what is the next step up pistion from stock .... and what kind of pistion and rings are good yeah that would be much better fit

next size up from stock is typically .20 there will be like no noticeable difference with that though... but it is a size up, and definately go with a wiseco piston

anyone know how these tools are kahuna powersports keep giving me the wrong piston size? do i have to jump over the counter and order the f*cking piston myself? its not hard to get the right size is it? like my cylinders 2.64" or something(cant remeber) and the first piston he gave us was way off, 2nd one was a .51 or soemthing over and its still to small. are they retarded? the old piston fits perfectly. i dont know what size it is cuz i cant get a acurate mesurement, but i got the code on it so im going to shove that number down there throat so we get the right piston finaly.

2.64" is 67mm, thats 1mm over STD, the .50mm piston is a .020" over, you're at .040" now. .25mm= .010"

what are you looking for? a rebuild to refresh the stock power or ore power?

a refresh is what they are talking about above. if you are looking for more HP gains, go wit a 240 kit. CT RACING has arguably the best kit out there but its expensive. steer clear of anything that says Vito's on it for internal engine parts.

im thinking of buying a 95 blaster from a buddy, but he says its bored 50 over? says its pretty much a 250cc now instead of a 200cc does this sound right and is it a bad thing? i was planning on getting new piston and ring put in right away so what size do i buy?

more than likely, that guy is full of sh*t...he most likely means its bored over .50" thats a pretty common bore...im pretty sure they dont even make a piston or sleeve that is a 250 but if he would have said 240 i would have believed it

thanks for the clarification. i know next to nothing about engines or even 4wheelers in general. this would be my first one
